Welcome to preschool, where we get them ready for what comes next …“Big Kid School!”

WELCOME TO

Bees Learning Tree Inc. Preschool Center

This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create artwork, and play pretend.

All the skills needed for their big next step: kindergarten!

Explore the Preschool Classroom

Take a look at how we set up our classroom for preschoolers. It’s organized for their age and stage of learning and development.

Open-Ended Questions

As your preschooler moves through their day, they’ll hear a lot of open-ended questions. For example, instead of saying, “Paint your flower petals with red and yellow,” we might ask, “What color would you paint your flower?” It’s a small change that makes a big difference in building your child’s confidence.

Preschoolers Play Their Way

For much of the day, kids create, play, pretend, and express themselves their way! This kind of independent play builds critical thinking skills, self-reliance, and confidence for life.

Preschool Curriculum

Our incredible teachers are here to offer the safest place and most inspiring learning environment for you preschooler. Your child will practice language, math, science, Spanish, Sign language, Arabic, and social skills through hands-on learning and playtime.

We get preschoolers ready for kindergarten by reading lots of books, identifying rhyming words, and writing. Singing songs and playing games help them notice similar sounding words.

Children in our classroom are constantly building on their new skills—and that includes the ones needed for making friends and communicating feelings. We help preschoolers talk about feelings, show them how to resolve conflicts, and support them as they make friends.

Preschool Schedule

  • Arrival and Breakfast

    OPEN – 9:00 A.M.

Children play quietly and eat breakfast. As they finish their meal, they can play however they choose at our learning centers until most children have arrived and are finished eating.

  • Group Time

    9:00 A.M. – 9:40 A.M.

The real start to our day begins when we come together as a group to welcome each other and talk briefly about the day's planned events. We will also do things like read a book out loud or sing a song!

  • Activity Centers

    9:45 A.M. – 10:40 A.M.

Activity centers are an important part of our classrooms, and usually involve small-group activities. Your child will do things like play with blocks, experiment with creative arts, engage in dramatic play, read, do age-appropriate math or science activities, or write.

  • Outdoor Play

    10:40 A.M. – 11:00 A.M.

It’s time to go outside! Mostly little ones play on their own, using their imaginations. Outdoor time can also be part of our daily themed activity.

  • Lunch Time

    11:00 A.M. – 12:45 P.M.

Time to wash our hands, help set tables, and get ready to eat lunch!

  • Rest Time

    12:45 P.M. – 2:45 P.M.

Ssshh … it’s quiet time. Many children will nap, but as they wake up (or if they never quite get to sleep), they can select different quiet activities, such as looking at books or drawing.

  • Afternoon Snack

    3:00 P.M. – 3:35 P.M.

    They’ll have a nutritious snack.

  • Group Time

    3:35 P.M. – 3:55 P.M.

The real start to our day begins when we come together as a group to welcome each other and talk briefly about the day's planned events. We will also do things like read a book out loud or sing a song!

  • Activity Centers and Pick-up

    3:55 P.M. – CLOSE

It’s time for pick-up! After a busy day together, children are given the space and time to explore and play in the learning centers on their own.
